The college slam dunk contest for 2013 was won by Doug Anderson last night, and he was absolutely unbelievable.
The NBA Slam Dunk Contest, held during All-Star Weekend, can be a bit of a let down. You may get one or two good dunks but with stars like LeBron James and Blake Griffin generally staying away, it can be a bit dull.
But the College Slam Dunk Contest, held last night, is a great chance for youngsters to showcase their talent so all the top college dunkers take part.
University of Detroit guard Doug Anderson had a reputation as an above-the-rim beast and he showed why last night by romping to the title courtesy of four incredible dunks.
Best of all, the winner gets a WWE-style belt, which is very cool. He might also get an NBA deal out of it too.
