Some clubs aren’t blessed with the funds for top quality medical facilities and are instead forced to improvise with lower priced alternatives… like this brilliant motorised wheelbarrow in Romania.
We don’t know much about this clip apart from the fact that it took place during a lower league club game in Romania, but after watching it we wouldn’t mind taking in a game there sometime because it seems like great craic altogether.
We’re all used to the motorised stretcher that came to prominence, in football terms at least, during the 1994 World Cup and has been seen occasionally since, but we’re far bigger fans of the pioneering medical work on view here, with the injured player carted off the pitch by a quite brilliant motorised wheelbarrow that is as fit for purpose as any stretcher we’ve ever come across.
Granted, the player in question seems to have gone down just so he could be taken away by the brilliant wheelbarrow in question, but nobody can doubt its effectiveness and the entertainment it provided for all present, while the collapse off the wheelbarrow by the apparently injured player at the end is the icing on the cake.
