It didn’t take long for this PlayStation 4 “reveal” to go viral, but in case you got too excited when you saw it, it turns out that it’s not the real deal.

Last night a video went viral that purported to be the reveal of the PS4 console itself, before the E3 event, however it turns out that this video, while well made, is a fake.
The video showed a few people apparently watching some gameplay on the console, interspersed with some shots of what the device itself looked like, but Sony themselves have come out to say this is a fake, and we still expect the real reveal at E3 this summer.
We’ll have to keep waiting to see what the console itself looks like, but its main competitor, the new Xbox, will be revealed (we hope) in just over a week’s time on May 21st.
