Video: Transfer Deadline Day means another superb song mocking Arsenal’s purchasing policy

JOE

Poker Face gets the treatment this time, and Yaya Sanogo is the star of this tune…

For the last few transfer deadline days, Arsenal blogger Gunnerblog (@gunnerblog) has produced a special parody song, gently mocking Arsene Wenger for his lack of business on the big day.

In the past Les Mis, Thrift Shop and The Circle Of Life have all been adapted to highlight the club’s at times curious transfer business and this window is no different.

Even before the injury to Olivier Giroud a striker was clearly required at the Emirates, and following the news that the Frenchman is out until 2015, the matter has become even more urgent. However, as Gunnerblog expertly and humourously points out in this adapted version of Lady Gaga’s Poker Face, Wenger seems to think that Arsenal ‘Don’t need a striker cos I’ve got Yaya’, a reference to the very raw Yaya Sonogo.

Watch for yourself and laugh if you support anyone else, maybe have a little cry if you support Arsenal.
