West Indies’ Kieron Pollard produced two flying catches in a one-day international with Australia overnight.
Making one great catch in a 50-over match is good. Making two is just special so hats off to Kieron Pollard, who was in superb form in Canberra.
A blast by Aussie Glenn Maxwell looked set to be a big six before Pollard intervened with a wonder catch.
That was in the 47th over and he still found time to produce a second, almost indentical, grab off George Bailey before the end.
The Aussies still ended on a respectable 329/7 in 50 overs but it would have been a bit more if Pollard hadn’t been in such good form.
