Samir Nasri won’t want to see his terrible miss against West Ham again, but thankfully for him, it was forgotten about moments later as Yaya Toure scored a screamer to spare him some embarrassment.
Man City were in complete control of the early kick-off against West Ham this afternoon but only had a Sergio Aguero goal to show for their superiority until late on, when Yaya Toure made the game safe with this left-footed screamer from the edge of the box.
Toure was obviously delighted to have scored such a stunning goal, but Samir Nasri will arguably have been more pleased, nay relieved at the sight of the ball hitting the top corner as it helped take attention away from a glaring open-goal miss he was responsible for minutes earlier.
Granted, the ball was travelling at some pace but Nasri still probably should have scored; lucky for him that it’s the not the main thing people will be talking about in relation to this game afterwards.
