Video: It looks like Lionel Messi refused to be substituted for Barcelona at the weekend

If this footage is true then our respect for the little genius is ever so slightly diminished...

If this footage is true then our respect for the little genius is ever so slightly diminished…

Another week, another Barcelona victory inspired by another magical Lionel Messi performance.

The Argentinian genius was on the scoresheet once again in the Blaugrana’s 3-0 win against Eibar as he moved two goals closer to becoming La Liga’s all-time top scorer. He’s still just 27 remember.

That said, we didn’t like seeing this footage that apparently shows Messi refusing to be substituted by his new manager Luis Enrique.

The Barca manager wanted to bring on Munir and you can hear him shouting ‘Leo, Leo’ at the his number 10 but the calls were seemingly ignored.

If what we think happened here actually happened we’d be a little disappointed because we never like seeing players having more power than their managers, even if it is the world’s best player.

Have a look below and judge for yourself.
