Cristiano Ronaldo was once again missing from the Real Madrid starting line-up, so the secondary cast that usually feel guilty about stealing his thunder could feel free to express themselves against Almeira at the Bernabeu last night. Only messing Cristiano… sort of.
Gareth Bale, Isco, Angel di Maria and Alvaro Morata all got on the scoresheet in a facile 4-0 win, but arguably the standout moment was a delightful piece of skill by Karim Benzema to create an opportunity for Gareth Bale in the first half.
