The effect that this admirable piece of improvisation had was minimal, but still, it was great to watch.

Juventus crashed out of the Europa League last night after only managing a 0-0 draw on home turf in the second leg of their semi-final clash with Benfica, who led 2-1 from the first leg. Once again, however, French midfielder Paul Pogba caught the eye, specifically on two separate occasions; first for an audacious piece of skill and in the second instance, almost literally catching the eye of Ezequiel Garay when his studs collided with the Benfica defender’s face on the ground after an ambitious bicycle-kick attempt.
