It's loud enough to make you deaf...

It’s loud enough to make you deaf…

JOE would like to offer a big congratulations to the new All-Ireland champions Kerry who managed to defeat Donegal 2-09 to 0-12 in a hard fought but largely underwhelming final.

The win sees the Kingdom  claim their 37th All-Ireland Senior Football Championship crown as goals from  Paul Geaney and Kieran Donaghy proved to be decisive.  To their credit, Donegal refused to lie down as three Michael Murphy frees saw them draw level at half-time.

The last few minutes of the match were a tense affair that saw Colm McFadden hitting the post  following a last-minute scramble in the Kerry goalmouth. It was hearts in the mouth stuff for Kerry fans but their relief at the final whistle could probably be heard all the way in Killarney.

Brilliant stuff here.
