He didn’t manage to score in his team’s convincing 3-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago last night, but Lionel Messi was paid a brilliant tribute, in true Wayne’s World style, by one of the players on the opposing team.
Just before kick-off, as both teams shook hands with each other, T&T’s Ataullah Guerra showed his admiration for one the game’s greatest ever players, as he appeared to bow down before Messi the maestro…
Kind of reminds us of these guys…
Argentina, who kick off their World Cup campaign against Bosnia-Herzegovina on 15th June, cruised to a comfortable victory as Rodrigo Palacio opened the scoring, with ex-Liverpool duo Javier Mascherano and Maxi Rodriguez rounding off the 3-0 win in Buenos Aires.
