Just keep in mind that some of you are ‘Facebook friends’ with your own parents…
You’ve heard about the ‘Bang with Friends’ app, right? If not, it’s basically an app that you can sign up to if you’re up for having casual sex with a Facebook Friend, once they’re signed up to the app too. The app keeps the fact that you’re signed up private and no-one other than Bang with Friends members will know you use it. Until now…
The lads over at Daily Dot have figured out that by clicking this link (don’t worry, it just brings you to Facebook) you’ll be able to see which of your mates has the app installed on their profile, even if you’re not on there yourself. However, be warned… what you see can’t be unseen.
While you might find that babe from school you always had a crush on, you could just as easily find someone you wouldn’t want to know was on the app, like your mam, or sister… or girlfriend.
So what’s going on? Here’s what the Daily Dot has to say: “Like most problems in life, you can probably blame Facebook for this one. The default status for app visibility is public, just like your name, profile picture, cover photo, gender, networks, username, and user ID. ‘Apps also have access to your friends list and any information you choose to make public.’”
So what do you do if you have the app and you’re worried that someone finds out? It’s actually pretty easy. Just go to your privacy settings and adjust your app preferences. Simples.
