Newspaper reports are suggesting that Donegal player Paddy McBrearty may have been bitten during Sunday’s draw with Dublin.

Local media yesterday claimed that it was possible that the injury the young Kilcar player received during the National League draw at Ballybofey, an outcome that saw Jim McGuinness’ men relegated from the top-flight, was as a result of a bite from an opponent.
A full report from referee Michael Duffy is expected to reveal the truth and the Donegal Daily has said that a Dublin doctor was asked to come onto the field of play at the time to witness the full extent of the injury.
We will have to await the report, but we sincerely hope that the story is not true. With a number of high profile spitting incident recently, we certainly don’t want more unsavoury incidents like this on the GAA pitch.
