Xbox 360 owners hoping to download today's Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 demo may be in for a little surprise. There isn't one, although PS3 gamers have received theirs.
"Sorry to confirm that due to issues on both sides we can't release the 1st PES2012 demo for 360" tweeted the game's European team leader Jon Murphy. "We've tried hard but have to give up".
It's not all bad news though, as there will actually be two demos for the game prior to its October 14 launch, and Konami reckon there shouldn't be any issues with the next one.
"We - Konami, the PES team and myself - are all really, really sorry," he added. "On a brighter note we'll announce the next demo shortly and release is just around the corner. Hope you still give it a try."
Konami have promised that this year's release will give the user "more control than any other football title, with all-new AI elements and off-the-ball control creating a game where the user can move players into dangerous areas during set pieces".
PES 2012 hits store shelves on October 14 for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, PSP and PS2.
