This guy probably has too much time on his hands, but credit where it’s due, this is still pretty impressive.

This guy probably has too much time on his hands, but credit where it’s due, this is still pretty impressive.

Fans of classic movies like The Big Lebowski and Kingpin would beg to differ, but we don’t think we’re exaggerating when we say that ten-pin bowling wouldn’t exactly be high on the list of the world’s greatest sports in the eyes of most sports fans.

Those people have obviously never seen or heard about backwards ten-pin bowling, however, because on this evidence, it looks amazing, or at least it was made to look amazing by a man who can now say that he is the best in the world at what is a pretty niche sport.

Andrew Cowen set a world record for the highest score in ten-pin backwards bowling with a score of 280 in Rockford, Illinois lately, hitting ten straight strikes as he achieved a record that we’d be surprised if it will ever beaten, or even attempted to be beaten for that matter.

Scoff if you will at the sport itself, but you can’t deny that Cowen is good at it, or that he’s quite the showman for that matter; at least he’ll always have this to look back on if he ever ends up in the gutter.
