Kiwis were never our favourite fruit, but the decision by Warren Gatland to axe Brian O’Driscoll from the squad has left a bad taste in our mouths. And also Dan Carter.
The Kiwi legend has plenty of experience of facing both the Lions and Brian O’Driscoll and like the rest of us, is scratching his head at the decision by his fellow countryman.
Of course Dan has given support to Irish rugby players in the past – a ringing endorsement for young George Morgan a while back – and he too is of the opinion that O’Driscoll should not only be in the starting XV, but also be given the skipper’s armband.
There must be some angry Irish out there waking up to see @BrianODriscoll not playing this weekend. #ShouldBeTheCaptain

You’re right Dan, we’re not happy, but we appreciate your sentiments.
