Sheldon Cooper may be vying with Stephen Hawking as the most globally recognised physicist, but Hawking demonstrated yesterday that he is more than familiar with the sitcom.
Hawking, who has previously made a guest appearance on the show, made a surprise appearance at Friday’s “Big Bang Theory” panel at San Diego Comic-Con, kicking off the event with a pre-recorded video segment taped in his office.
Sheldon’s idol apologised for not being there in person as he had a flat tyre. “That was a joke, haha,” he added before deciding to explain the Big Bang theory in 17 words by “performing ‘The Big Bang Theory’s” theme song.
Great stuff from the theoretical physicist.
