Thanks to a 1-0 win over Lithuania last night which put them ahead of Greece on goal difference at the top of Group G, Bosnia and Herzogovina sealed their place in what will be their first ever World Cup in Brazil next summer. And boy, were they determined to celebrate.
Jubilant home supporters had to wait for their heroes to arrive back in Sarajevo from Lithuania before they could celebrate in style but by the time they did get back to the Bosnian capital, quite a crowd had gathered and they were ready to party.
Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko and Stoke ‘keeper Asmir Begovic were amongst the players who captured footage of the amazing scenes via their Instagram accounts, with what appeared to be thousands of supporters dancing, chanting and setting off fireworks to celebrate a momentous achievement.
