Except they probably weren’t even drinking. And they weren’t even in Ireland at the time.
Having seen what Australia did to us at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday after a handful of them were out drinking ‘til all hours earlier in the week, the All-Blacks have obviously decided to repeat that formula ahead of this weekend if this picture of Dan Carter and some of his teammates outside an Irish pub is anything to go by.

Carter, of course, won’t even play against Ireland because of injury this weekend (thank God) but before we get our knickers in a twist about unprofessional preparation by another southern hemisphere team prior to facing Ireland, it should be pointed out that the Irish pub in question is in Nuremberg in Germany, where Carter and some of his All-Black teammates were doing some promotional work for Adidas.
Not the scandal we might have been hoping for in a quest to gain any possible edge over the All-Blacks before the weekend but hey, there’s a long time to go yet.
