It’s a bit of a wild day outside today and the high winds are causing problems for the ESB’s electrical power lines.

JOE reader Paul Dargan sent us in this video earlier today and it shows just how strong the winds have been so far this morning. The winds were so bad that they blew down some power lines near the Naas road, which eventually got caught up in some light poles, causing them to spark dangerously.

Paul told JOE that the video was recorded by his better half at around 9.15am this morning on John F. Kennedy Drive just off the Naas Road.

Fire crews were on the scene straight away and closed off the road to the public.

As Paul said himself, it would remind you of Ivan Vanko from Iron Man 2….
