We think the Guards won this round…
Rapidly becoming one of the best Twitter account in the country @GardaTraffic manages to mix the serious with the seriously funny, often from one tweet to the next. We don’t know who is behind it, but they are some very funny people indeed.
Today, as they do, they tweeted about a checkpoint, this time on Dublin’s Merrion Road

The tweet, and especially the picture, caught the attention of Limerick’s finest musicians, The Rubberbandits, who made a quick joke at the Gardai’s expense.
But the Guards were quick to respond with a fine, Fr Ted-inspired comeback of their own.
