Video: A compilation of great Shinji Kagawa passes this season that should have resulted in Man United goals

Shinji Kagawa hasn’t been in the best of form for Manchester United this season, but he could have done with a helping hand from some of his teammates.

After a mixed bag of a debut campaign in the Premier League, United fans had high hopes that the Japanese playmaker would begin to show his true colours this season having settled into life in the Premier League.

Much like Manchester United’s season in general, it hasn’t worked out for Kagawa in this campaign and after no goals and just a single assist in the league, he is being linked with a move away in the summer following the arrival of Juan Mata at Old Trafford.

In fairness to Kagawa, he hasn’t been helped by the profligacy of his team-mates, a fact illustrated in a montage of clips above from this season where he has put goals on a plate for his United teammates only to see them wasted over and over again.

Kagawa’s supporters will use evidence like this as proof that he still has a lot to offer and should be playing a more important role at Manchester United, but some peripheral performances this season, together with his lack of playing time since Mata’s arrival and rumoured reports of a clear-out in the summer, he might not get many more chances to show what he can do at Old Trafford.
