Leinster are back on top of the RaboDirect PRO12 table, following a 34-22 win over the Cardiff Blues at the Arms Park on Thursday evening.
Even without a host of Irish internationals, Matt O’Connor’s side were too good for their Welsh opponents.
The visitors were 17-12 up at the break, thanks to tries from debutant Jack Conan and Richardt Strauss. Jimmy Gopperth converted both and bagged a penalty into the bargain.
Leinster were quickly out of reach of their opponents, with Eoin Reddan and Michael Bent both going over and Dan Fish’s late try was little more than a consolation for the home side.
