Smart stuff from their marketing folks…
We’ve all seen how companies have recently started to use Twitter to capitalise on major news stories for their own end. The likes of Oreos, or closer to home Specsavers, are masters of producing stuff that will go viral and, of course, garner a lot of free publicity for the company.
Today, AIB have produced a tweet that will probably do the business for them.
They sponsor the All-Ireland Club Championships and for a while now they have used the hashtag #TheToughest to emphasise just how hard it is to get to Croke Park and the final of the hurling and football.
So, on the back of a certain country star’s recent woes with the venue (you may have heard about it) they tweeted this today.
