Today marks the anniversary of a very prestigious and life-changing event: sliced bread went on sale for the first time ever on July 7, 1928. To celebrate this hugely important day in the history of mankind, JOE has decided to take a look at 10 of our favourite things since, well, sliced bread.

JOE still has this plan on our agenda 1) Fly to LA, 2) Marry J-Law. Don’t worry, we will work out the rest of the kinks in this flawless plan once we land in LAX. Seriously though, she is a very talented actress, 374 different types of beautiful and looks like great craic, aka. exactly the type of girl that JOE’s mammy would approve of.
The Simpsons
JOE doesn’t always simplify things but in some ways, the world is divided into two sets of people. Those who love this show so much that a single day doesn’t pass by without them making some sort of reference to it, and those who wouldn’t know their televisual arse from their elbow. Take a guess which group JOE is in?
Crisp Sandwiches
What’s the point of having some delicious bread if you can’t put something between them? JOE loves so many different combos in our sandwiches that it’s hard to choose just one. We are going for the crisp sandwich though, because its simple, tasty and easy to make. The million dollar question now is, which brand of crisp?
