No pressure kid…
There are some things that JOE regards as absolute sporting institutions that will remain the same forever.
The All-Ireland final will always be in Croke Park, Munster’s European games must be played at Thomond Park and Ireland’s qualifying campaigns for tournaments will remain absolutely torturous.
Seeing Ryan Giggs wear the No 11 shirt for Man Utd was also something that we grew accustomed to seeing but the Welsh wizard has finally hung up is boots after an incredible career.
Fear not Man Utd fans because the famous jersey has been picked up by a worthy successor.
The talented Belgian, who wore the No 44 shirt last year, was one of the few positives to emerge from the train wreck that was David Moyes’ spell as manager. His volley against Sunderland was a sight to behold.
We think he United fans will be fine with seeing plenty more mazy dribbles, excellent crosses and spectacular goals from their new No 11
What’s in a number? History. Tradition. Excitement. Expectations. Adnan Januzaj is #mufc‘s new no.11. pic.twitter.com/w7dBEXtI5H
