It will blow you away.

If you’re looking to stay in on this bank holiday Sunday, then you’re in for a treat, as there are tonnes of amazing movies on TV tonight.

Our pick of the choices this evening would have to be one of the most exciting 90s blockbusters – Twister.

The disaster film – which is about to get a long-awaited sequel – is a cult favourite and stars a glowing cast including Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt, Philip Seymour-Hoffman, Alan Ruck and Cary Elwes.

Directed by Jan de Bont, the 1996 flick centres on group of amateur but spirited storm chasers trying to deploy a tornado research device during a severe outbreak in Oklahoma.

Grossing a massive $495 million worldwide, Twister was the second-highest-grossing film of 1996 and received Academy Award nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound.

Twister contains everything you could ask for in a disaster flick – tension, great special effects, a pulsating score and a pacing that will blow you away.

If you haven’t seen it yet and are excited for the upcoming sequel, you can check out Twister tonight on ITV4 at 6.40pm.
