That’s an odd way of showing your gratitude for having a goal put on a plate for you. Poor Robbie.
Just three days after captaining Ireland to a last-gasp win over Georgia in Tbilisi, Robbie Keane was back on club duty for LA Galaxy last night and back making an, eh, impact against the Montreal Impact.
The Galaxy went 2-0 down before staging a gutsy comeback to claim a point after a 2-2 draw, with Alan Gordon netting the equaliser after Robbie had peeled away from the defence on the left and sent a fizzing cross across the box for Gordon to tap into the net.
Gordon was pretty excited after scoring the goal and rather than running to congratulate Keane, he simply ran straight through him on his way to celebrate with the Galaxy bench…
Not the most graceful of falls from our Robbie but it was hardly his fault in fairness.
