Nicely played David.
It’s practically obligatory for at least one member of a team to fulfil the ‘slightly adrift from everyone else’ Ashley Cole role these days and Kerry’s David Moran was happy to do so ahead of the Irish International Rules team’s departure to Australia from Dublin Airport this morning.
Moran was part of the main party that headed Down Under this morning and they will be joined by Monaghan’s Conor McManus and Derry’s Chrissy McKaigue early next week as the pair are both involved in the Ulster club semi-final clash between Slaughtneil and Clontibret this Sunday.
Paul Earley’s men will take on their Australian counterparts in a one-off encounter in Perth on November 22 and with the Aussies naming a very strong squad and seemingly intent on taking it a lot more seriously this year than they have in previous years, it should make for a fascinating contest.
Safe trip lads.
