Practise what you preach Wayne.
Manchester United laboured to an FA Cup victory over Preston last night but once again the mood was far from positive afterwards.
The quality of the performance came under scrutiny again, as did the penalty incident that led to United’s third goal, with Wayne Rooney taking a tumble after a challenge from the Preston ‘keeper before hitting the net from 12 yards.
There was no doubt that the challenge from Thorsten Stuckmann was a little bit reckless, but he didn’t make contact with Rooney, who leapt over the onrushing Stuckmann before falling to the turf.
Debate raged afterwards – including in the BBC studio – about whether Rooney was entitled to take evasive action or whether he was just guilty of a blatant dive.
Many of those who took the latter stance pointed to a tweet Rooney sent in April 2012 about Didier Drogba and his tendency to go to ground with the suggestion that if he’s going to talk the talk, Rooney should be walking the walk as well.
Drogba. Your a good player but pls get up.

The words ‘pot’ ‘kettle’ and ‘black’ come to mind. And don’t get us started on the grammar.
