TFI Friday is back this week and the lineup is excellent

Another reason to stay in on a Friday

Another reason to stay in on a Friday.

You may remember a few weeks ago when TFI Friday made a one-off return to celebrate its 20th year but it seems that the popularity of Chris Evans is showing no signs of slowing down.

We already told you that show has been commissioned for 8 one-off episodes this side of Christmas, but the first line-up has just been announced and it’s excellent. There’s going to be a very strong Irish flavour to this weeks show because U2 are popping in alongside Oscar nominated actress Saoirse Ronan.

U2 will be performing two songs during the live broadcast and apparently the band are flying straight from a show in Antwerp to make it.

As for Ronan, she’ll undoubtedly be talking about her role in ‘Brooklyn’, the film adaptation of Colm Tóibín’s critically acclaimed novel.

Alan Partridge himself, Steve Coogan, will also be on hand to provide some laughs while Take That and punk duo Slaves will also be popping in for a chinwag.

Over to you Messers Tubridy and Norton but this Vine is entirely appropriate.
