Not mates.
Right now the busiest bunch of people in world football are arguably Liverpool’s medical staff because the physio room at Anfield must be like a revolving door.
Jürgen Klopp is facing a massive injury crisis ahead of the ‘Pool’s FA Cup tie against Exeter and things weren’t helped during their Capital One Cup tie during the week with Philippe Coutinho and Dejan Lovren adding to the growing list of injuries.
Divock Origi, Jon Flanagan, Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel, Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson, Jordan Rossiter, Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings are already on Liverpool’s ever-lengthening injury list and Sunderland boss Allardyce has blamed the German’s training methods.
Speaking with TalkSport, Allardici said “That is him [Klopp] asking his players to play a high-tempo pressing game from the top end. It’s great that the players have been able to carry it out but I think it has kicked in now”.
“I don’t think Jürgen has realised just how ferocious our league is at this period of time and because he has asked for that extra high energy, that extra 10 yards, these lads are fatiguing now with so many games in such a short period of time and are picking up these muscle strains.
“They are highly trained athletes more than ever before, and they become more susceptible to injuries by the amount of work they do in a game now.”
Klopp is currently speaking to the press and here’s what he had this to say regarding Allardyce’s remarks.
Klopp reacts to Allardyce's criticism: "I'm glad for Sam, that such an experienced manager has time to think about Liverpool's problems."

Klopp: "People talk about intensity of my style. Two weeks ago we had no idea there would be a problem at centre-half."
