A palpable hit.
Minister for Health Leo Varadkar caused great consternation when he posted a tweet about his election posters “cleaned, counted, stored and ready to be deployed” – suggesting that he was geared up for yet another general election.

Many took the tweet as a needless show of bravado – chief amongst them comedian Oliver Callan, who struck back on his own Twitter account today with a rather savage blow.
Leo Varadkar's posters are clean and ready. Unlike most of our hospitals under his watch. #publicitymad

Yeesh. And you thought he was just man who did funny voices.
We wonder if Leo Varadkar will carry this on by taking a Kanye West approach to Twitter beef. Somehow we think not.
