What a performance and win by Connacht.
Connacht have won the Guinness Pro12 final after beating Leinster 20-10 at Murrayfield.
Pat Lam’s side were the better team for large parts of the game and scored two tries in the first 21 minutes, courtesy of Tiernan O’Halloran and Niyi Adeolokun.
A conversion and penalty added five points to Connacht’s first-half tally, with a single Johnny Sexton penalty the only Leinster repsonse in the opening period.
Matt Healy scored another try for Connacht in the 56th minute, looking like it would seal the victory for his side, but Sean Cronin’s 66th minute try and Sexton’s subsequent conversion made the last quarter of an hour a very nervy affair for Connacht players and fans.
In the end, they held on for a famous win and here is the best reaction to the result…
Brilliant for Connacht – magnificent journey since March on Lansdowne to save our team -they will sing "The Fields " tonight! #pro12final
