ESB have asked people not to go for a dip in any of their reservoirs, which are not designed for the purpose of swimming.
Reservoirs have several features which make them unsafe for swimmers, including uneven ground, deep waters, changing water levels and fast-flowing waters, according to the Irish Times.
A Tallaght teenager died around this time last year after diving into the Bohernabreena Waterworks.
The ESB have recommended that anyone who wants enjoy the sun with a swim would be better served by wading into safer waters.
Furthermore, ESB reported that Ireland’s lifeboats had been very busy yesterday.
While we all like the beautifull weather #RNLI crews are VERY BUSY in the last few hours #respectthewater #legends https://t.co/Jej0CtvKro
