Here’s the full list of jobs the ESB are seeking to fill in the next three years

ESB has said it will recruit 1,000 people over the next three years in order to implement its Driven to Make a Difference: Net Zero by 2040 strategy.

A range of roles are being recruited for as the ESB seeks to hire people in a range of technical and specialist skills including those in finance, IT, HR, engineering, customer service and qualified electricians.

More than 300 graduates, apprentices and trainees will be recruited over the next three years as part of the recruitment drive.

“This is a critical time for Ireland’s energy landscape, as we work together to achieve the targets set out in the Climate Action Plan,” Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, Eamon Ryan, said.

“I welcome ESB’s announcement today, setting out a plan to actively recruit people with the range of skills needed to support its own ambition to achieve net zero by 2040.

“Together with the 8,000 people already employed at the organisation, these new recruits will play a key role in creating a clean energy future for us all.”

Below is a full list of roles ESB is seeking to fill within the next three years:

  • IT – Cyber specialists, Data Scientists and AI, Digital and Cloud specialists, project management
  • Engineering – Offshore wind, renewables, network planning, asset development, environmental, civil, electrical and mechanical and environment (marine biologists and geologists, geotechnical roles and hydrology scientists)
  • HR and Commercial – Procurement, Financial Accountants, Commercial Analysts, Trading, Human Resources and Customer Service
  • Graduates, Trainees and Apprentices – Graduate Development programme, ESB Networks apprentice programme, Trainee and Apprentice roles in Finance, IT, HR, Engineering, Commercial.
