Dublin footballer and former Mayo star take on ‘Crossbar Challenge’ to launch GOAL Jersey Day

To mark the launch of their Jersey Day campaign this year, GOAL organised a very special challenge this morning at St. Brigids GAA Pitch, Castleknock Dublin.

With the All-Ireland Football final taking place this Sunday what better way to launch their campaign than with some good old fashioned Dublin/Mayo rivalry!

Representing the Dubs, Jack McCaffrey took on the crossbar challenge first, and succeeded in hitting the bar on his first attempt.

He also succeeded in making it look ridiculously easy too.

Conor Mortimer was next up to take the challenge representing the west siiide (Mayo) and yep, you guessed it, he effortlessy hit the bar on his first kick also, making us all feel pretty damn inadequate.

The Dublin and Mayo panel will however both be hoping to avoid hitting the cross bar in this Sunday’s  final, and we took the opportunity to chat to the lads about the game and their predictions for this weekends final in Croker.

Check out what they had to say here!

GOAL’s Jersey Day takes place this year on Friday, October 14.
