WATCH: Netflix’s new crime drama by the director of Fight Club looks unmissable

We think this drama by Netflix will be very popular…

David Fincher is one of the best known directors in the world having directed the psychological thrillers Seven, Fight Club and Gone Girl.

He was also nominated for Best Director at the Academy Awards for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Social Network.

Fincher was instrumental in launching House of Cards for Netflix in 2013, and this year he is back with a new series called Mindhunter where two FBI agents interview imprisoned serial killers to try and solve unsolved cases.

Jonathan Groff will star as Holden Ford, a special agent in the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit, alongside fellow agent Bill Tench played by Holt McCallany.

The crime series is executive produced by Fincher and Charlize Theron and includes an impressive list of directors including Fincher himself as well as Asif Kapadia, Tobias Lindholm and Andrew Douglas.

Mindhunter is based on the 1996 book Mind Hunter: Inside The FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit, which was written by former agents John Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

The series is set to be streamed exclusively on Netflix in October and we’re counting down the days already.
