Worth tuning into…

3e has announced today that going forward, it will support the best of emerging Irish film making talent by showcasing Irish short films.

The first of which will air on Friday on the channel and it is a creation of the Gleesons.

The first short film to air is Noreen, written and directed by Domhnall Gleeson, and it also stars his father Brendan Gleeson and brother Brian Gleeson.

The film will be on 3e this Friday, March 17 at 9pm.

The story surrounds two guards who are called to investigate a house where there has been reports of a gunshot.

Brian plays an emotional Frank, inexperienced and heartbroken and Brendan plays Con, middle-aged and weary.

The last time we saw Brendan Gleeson take up the role of a member of the Gardaí it was in that brilliant movie, The Guard.

So we think Noreen is definitely something to look forward to…
