Poor Hawkeye, he just can't catch a break.

Hawkeye

Poor Hawkeye just can’t catch a break.

In the first Avengers movie, he was brainwashed and used as an arrow-firing plaything by Loki.

In the second one, he had a big hole shot in his chest and then had to put up all the superheroes in his secret country cabin for the weekend while they all went into the hiding.

In Civil War, he popped up for one scene about two thirds of the way into the film, because really what can an arrow-firing dude do against the likes of Vision and Scarlett Witch.

That bad luck is now bleeding into the actor’s life too, as Variety reports that Jeremy Renner broke both of his arms performing a stunt on the set of Avengers: Infinity War.

According to the report, Renner arrived at a press conference for the Karlovy Vary Film Festival where he is promoting his current critical darling Wind River, and you can check out the trailer for the chilly thriller right here.

When he arrived at the Q&A with braces on both his arms, he obviously had to explain what had happened, and he told those in attendance that he’d fractured his left wrist and right elbow on the set of the new Avengers movie, simply stating: “That’s how it goes. It’s part of the job.”

He did go on to tell everyone there that the injuries wouldn’t stop him from finishing shooting his scenes for the movie, and he was still full steam ahead for the next Bourne movie.

Did you know there was another Bourne movie coming? We didn’t. According to IMDb, Renner has signed on for the untitled sequel to his entry in the franchise, the under-rated The Bourne Legacy, and it will be directed by Justin Lin, the guy who brought us Fast & Furiouses 3 through 6.
