Take care out there…

Following on from Monday’s snow and ice warning, which is in effect until 3am on Wednesday, Met Éireann have issued another weather warning and a weather advisory on Tuesday.

A status yellow wind warning has been issued for all of Ireland in an update to their previous warning.

The current warning was issued at 5.30am on Tuesday and warns of mean winds speeds of 55 to 65 km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h.

The warning is in effect until 3am on Wednesday.

They also warned that in western coastal counties, winds may be even stronger in the afternoon and evening with some severe gusts.

On top of this, a weather advisory has also been issued for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

The yellow advisory warns of an increased risk of flooding in coastal areas due to high or very high seas in the Atlantic Seaboard.

The advisory is in place from 9pm on Monday until 9am on Thursday.
