WATCH: St. Patrick’s been whizzing around Dublin on a skateboard ahead of his big day

Michael Lanigan

Well… That’s definitely different.

We’ve seen patron saints perform miracles, but how many can shred it on a deck?

Apparently the answer is only one: St. Patrick.

Ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, the production company Spicy Dog Media have come out with what could only be described as one of the most ridiculous videos this year, at the same time as being a pretty damn good ad for the Irish tourism board.

Skating through Trinity College, across O’Connell’s bridge and all the way over to the Guinness Storehouse, while stopping off for a pint of the black stuff, those with a good eye will notice that St. Patrick is dragging along five small snakes on the back.

I mean, it makes sense. You need to tweak your style when dealing with modern snakes.

Really, the only thing more hilarious than the sight of the saint are the bemused reactions from various onlookers.

“The reaction on the streets was crazy, we had people stopping us every second. Hounding for photos and videos. We caused a real scene and it was great,” said the company founder Peter Kilmartin.

Check out the video below, and tell us if it’s an accurate depiction of our patron saint:
