Paul Moore

Champions League final

An in-depth look at a remarkable season.

As Liverpool prepare for their first Champions League final in 11 years, there’s no doubting who Real Madrid will be earmarking as the most dangerous man in Klopp’s side.

Since signing this summer from Roma, Mo Salah has had a truly remarkable debut season at Anfield. Aside from winning the PFA’s Player of the Year award, the attacker has scored 44 goals in 51 games in all competitions for the ‘Pool.

Granted, Salah will always be more popular with the Anfield faithful than rival fans, but his enthusiasm and warm personality is hard to ignore, regardless of who you’re supporting.

The documentary on Channel 4 will chart Salah’s journey from his humble origins in Egypt to being voted the best player in England.

Of course, Salah’s Premier League career initially got off to a slow start after he joined Chelsea from Basle, but since leaving Stamford Bridge, the Egyptian has enjoyed a career renaissance.

The documentary will feature exclusive interviews with those who knew him in his early years as well as anecdotes from Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Steve McManaman, John Aldridge, Gary Lineker and more.

Mo Salah: A Football Fairy Tale airs on Channel 4, 10pm.
