Gardaí seeking information on specific car following discovery of body in burning car in Lucan

A body was found in a burning car in Lucan on Monday night.

Gardaí investigating the discovery of a body in a burning car in Lucan, Dublin on Monday evening are appealing to the public for information in relation to a navy Toyota Corolla with a registration of 05-CW-2225.

The vehicle in question was sold on Wednesday, 13 November and Gardaí are seeking information in relation to its movements from that date forward.

Gardaí are also appealing for anyone who may have information, including any road users who travelled in the Lucan area on Monday evening who may have dash cam footage available, to contact them Lucan Garda Station on 01 666 7300.

Alternatively, people may contact the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

The body has been removed to the Office of the State Pathologist in Whitehall, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out by locum State Pathologist Dr Heidi Okkers.
