Gardaí investigating the death of 17-year-old Keane Mulready-Woods have urged people not to share “distressing” images that are circulating on social media.

The images remain unverified at this time.

Gardaí have confirmed that the images, if verified, are disrespectful images of the deceased.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána further noted that the images in question “are distressing to Keane’s family.”

It was confirmed on Wednesday night that the 17-year-old had died, after human remains had been discovered in a bag in Coolock.

Gardaí have also said that the images provide false support to the perpetrators of this brutal crime.

Anyone with information as to the origin of such material is asked to contact Gardaí at Drogheda Garda Station on 041 9874200, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, Crime Stoppers 1800 250 025 or any Garda station.
