One more person has died due to Covid-19 in Ireland, three new cases confirmed

One more person has sadly died.

The National Public Health Emergency Team has confirmed that one more person has died due to Covid-19 in Ireland. The latest figures bring Ireland’s total known deaths to 1,735.

Additionally, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been made aware of three new cases of the virus. There is now a total of 25,439 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland.

The latest tally takes into account the denotification of one reported case.

The NPHET will deliver a full briefing tomorrow evening (29 June) as Ireland moves on to Phase 3 of its reopening strategy.
