Custard, good. Jam, good. Memes, good!
Finally, we have confirmation! Friends star Matt LeBlanc has seen the memes of him as every Irish auld lad.
For those living under a rock, after the Friends reunion last month – in which LeBlanc came across as very charming – Irish Twitter users began screenshotting a moment in the special in which the actor seemed to embody every Irish auld man and the results were hilarious.

As memes like the above began swarming people’s timelines and got global press coverage, many people were left wondering – what would LeBlanc think of randomly becoming Ireland’s favourite uncle?
Well, we have our answer, courtesy of his fellow actor and friend Stephen Mangan, who starred with LeBlanc in the show Episodes.
Speaking to Ray Darcy on RTÉ, Mangan confirmed what we all hoped – LeBlanc found them funny.
Mangan told the show: “Some of the stuff people were coming up with was absolutely priceless. I’m not sure Matt really understands what was happening.
“Obviously, he is Italian, but he saw the funny side of it. He’s got a good sense of humour.”
That’s exactly what you want to hear from the man who played the iconic Joey Tribbiani.
