Ice cream cone stolen Donegal

A chilling crime.

Gardaí are investigating the robbery of a giant ice cream cone from outside a shop in Co. Donegal.

The plastic cone was last seen over a week ago when three culprits stole it from the premises at Glencar Shopping Centre on the morning of Sunday 21st May at 6.23am.

The suspects include two males and one female. They were last seen making their way towards Dr McGinley Road.

The males were both covering their faces with their hoods up, while the female was wearing a pink zipped-up top and pink tracksuit bottoms.

Gardaí are hoping that anyone driving through the area at that time in the morning saw anything that looked suspiciously like an out-of-place giant plastic ice cream cone.

“If you did observe this or have dashcam footage, please drop it into us,” said a Garda spokesperson in a community appeal. “Somebody has seen this cone.”

“If a giant ice-cream cone has appeared in your living room or your friends’ apartment, somebody knows something about this. These things are quite expensive and times are hard for businesses. We are anxious to have this item returned to the owner.”

The Gardaí also appealed directly to the suspects involved in the scoop.

“To whoever did take it, it might have been a moment of madness, drop it back.”

Fingers crossed the culprits are found quickly and they get their just desserts.
