Good news on the jobs front this morning as IT giant Dell has announced 150 new cloud-computing jobs in Ireland.
The company already employs 2,300 people between service and support staff in Limerick and direct sales and support in Dublin.
These new positions will be based in the mid-west and in Dublin.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny will make an official announcement with a number of Dell executives later this morning.
Two years ago Dell cut 1,900 jobs in its Limerick plant, as its production unit was moved to Poland.
The IT industry is continuing to look on the up side following yesterday’s announcement that US firm Mycroft will create 50 new cloud-computing jobs in Waterford.
