JD Christmas jobs

Looking to pocket a few extra quid over the Christmas?

Sports and fashion company JD is looking to fill 1,200 seasonal roles in 38 stores in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland as part of its biggest ever Irish recruitment drive.

Unsurprisingly, Christmas is one of JD’s busiest sales periods of the year and the company is looking to fill full-time and part-time seasonal sales positions immediately to cover the peak sales period in the weeks leading up to and throughout Christmas and into the first week in January.

760 of the seasonal sales positions have been created for JD stores in 23 stores in the Republic of Ireland; the largest number of jobs will be available in the flagship store in the Jervis Centre in Dublin (120 roles available), Dundrum Shopping Centre (90) and Cork (55 roles across JD’s two stores in the city).

Those filling the temporary positions will be responsible for maintaining customer service and assisting the visual merchandising team, for keeping stock areas clean and tidy, unloading and reception of deliveries and deputising for staff, amongst other duties. The roles will be shift-based and may require early starts and late finishes.

Customer facing experience is required but not essential as full training will be provided to successful candidates.
